So Jesus walks into a Zaxby’s…

For the record, this blog is partially taken from a conversation I shared with some friends, which will be brought up later on…

First of all…

About a week ago, I was in my Theology of the Church class and the teacher brought up “Women’s Roles” in the church.  There’s about 4-6 women in the classroom.  The way the professer brought it up sounded, in my book, neutral and all for women having every right to serve just as a man serves.  I honestly say this as it says in Mark 10:  Jesus was not put on the earth to be served, BUT TO SERVE.  I think people disregard the fact that he’s our savior and just pay attention to the fact that he’s a man.  Really?  I truly believe that if the topic were “Men’s Role’s” in the church, the guys would be pretty pissed off.  By the way, I found out that after that class meeting, the ladies were livid.  They were ready to do some unholy things.  And this topic came up at dinner tonight, and it partially started with a colleague of mine bringing up this idea:  ”I wonder what Jesus would order at a Zaxby’s…”

Think about Jesus:  He’s a carpenter, a construction worker, (might I say) a country man… What would he order?  Would it be something fattening or something that’s better for his body?  Would it be something he enjoys or would he feel that he deserves less?…

We later talked about how women’s roles in this country should piss off other women from other countries.  Screw the wars in Iraq!  I could see why so many people would be pissed off at our country, women’s roles gone bonkers being a main problem!  What do you think?  Don’t you agree?

Peace be with you all
